Skiing in Zakopane

The best region for skiers is that near Kasprowy Wierch to which you can get by using cable railway from Kuznice. In Goryczkowy Kociol and Gasienicowy Kociol (on the slopes of Kasprowy Wierch) there are chairlifts, and the skiing season lasts here usually up to the first days of May, providing excellent conditions for skilled skiers.

Excellent conditions can also be found on Gubalówka, with working T-bar lifts and cable railway. This slope has got lighting and an artificial snowing system, which is also true about Nosal, also with T-bar lifts and cable railway. For beginners, we recommend Koziniec, also with lighting and the artificial snowing system.

A nursery slope is available in the resort “Pod Nosalem” (in Balzera Street) with 4 T-bar lifts, 1 chair-lift and park places, restaurants and a ski-rent. It is the most popular ski resort in Zakopane and if you do not have your own skiing equipment, there is no problem in renting it.
