Kazimierz in Cracow

It is the most famous, Jewish district of Cracow with a few synagogues, to name only the Temel Synagogue and the oldest in Poland Boznica Stara in Szeroka Street.

It is Kazimierz where Steven Spielberg shot his Schindler’s List, winner of numerous Oscar prizes. Also held here Festival of Jewish Culture adds to the splendour of this district.

What is also worth seeing here are the Jewish shops, clubs or galleries as well as feeling the particular atmosphere , completely different from the one in the Market Square. In Boznica Stara one can visit a department of the Historical Museum of Cracow, presenting the history and culture of Jews.
