Giewont
The famous “Sleeping Knight” (1895) which towers over the Zakopane Valley is one of the symbols of the Tatra Mountains. Its characteristic shape and a standing on it, 15-metre cross make Giewont easily recognizable to every single tourist. There is a blue trail which leads there from Kuznice. The Giewont ridge divides into three peaks: Little Giewont (west), Great Giewont (with the cross) and Long Giewont. On the route there are sometimes chains but generally the trail is rather easy, still you need to be careful.
